HELLO!

We're writing to invite you to get back into the swing of UMYF as we begin a great new year of mission projects, spiritual formation events, and fun outings!  Youth from the Advance, Dulin, Elbaville, and Fulton United Methodist churches will once again join together as the Advance Community United Methodist Youth Fellowship.  I definitely hope you will take part!

Attached to this letter is a schedule for UMYF for the fall.  As you can see, we have a lot of exciting events planned!  Our main meeting place will be the newly redecorated youth room at Advance UMC, but watch for occasional changes in meeting place, such as the second Sunday Worship Experiences at Fulton each month.  Details for all events will be in our church newsletters and worship bulletins, as well as on our Advance - Area UMYF Facebook page -- be sure to "like" us to catch all the latest news!

Mark your calendar now for February 3-5 when we will hopefully return to Boone for the SUMMIT Winter Retreat!  (Any who registered for the 2010 event, which was cancelled due to an ice storm, do not have to pay the registration fee!)

Plan to join us THIS SUNDAY, August 28, for our fun kick-off event at Bonnie & Jitter Cornatzer's Pool from 2-5 pm!  We will swim, play some get-to-know-you games, have a time of devotion, and EAT!!  Jitter and Bonnie live at 2217 NC Hwy 801 South in Advance, between the Advance and Elbaville churches.  Hope to see you there!
